What is the minimum order for hair extensions? Four levels, and a reason behind each.
Short answer
RemyPatra's minimums are 1kg total, from 300g per shade for a trial, so 1 kg in total; 3 kg to 10 kg for wholesale; from 10 kg for private label and OEM; and from 50 kg per month for a distributor programme. Minimums exist because sorting, colouring and finishing run as batches, not as single pieces.

Why minimums exist at all
Hair is sorted, washed, coloured and finished in lots. A colour batch below a certain weight cannot be mixed consistently, which is exactly the inconsistency buyers complain about when a supplier accepts any quantity.
Trial, 1 kg
300g per shade and length, two colours minimum. Enough to wash it, bleach a section and install it on real clients before you commit money to stock.
Wholesale, 2 to 10 kg
The working range for salons and small distributors. Mixed shades and lengths, stock shades dispatching in 5 to 10 working days.
Private label from 10 kg, distributor from 50 kg per month
Private label adds your packaging, labelling and a written specification held at the factory. The distributor programme covers territory, the shade range you hold and reorder cadence, and it still begins with a trial.
Questions buyers ask
What does MOQ mean in hair extensions?
MOQ is the minimum order quantity a supplier will produce, usually stated in kilograms or in pieces per shade and length. It exists because sorting and colouring run as batches.
Can I order less than 1 kg?
A single sample piece can be sent for shade matching. For hair you intend to install on clients, 1kg total, from 300g per shade is the smallest order that gives a fair test.
Is the minimum per shade or per order?
The trial minimum is per colour and length. Wholesale minimums are per order and can be mixed across shades and lengths.
Do minimums drop once I reorder?
The structure stays the same, but reorders are faster because your approved reference sample and written specification are already held at the factory.
