Answer for salons

What hair extensions should a salon stock? Fewer shades, deeper, in one method.

Short answer

A salon should stock one installation method in two or three shades at the lengths it sells most, rather than a wide range it cannot reorder consistently. Depth in a few shades means faster fittings, fewer colour corrections and a supplier relationship where every reorder matches the last piece you approved.

Key facts

  • Start with a 1 kg trial across the two shades you sell most
  • Stock shades dispatch in 5 to 10 working days
  • Shade library of 60+ colours, custom shades matched from a swatch
  • Your approved reference sample is retained for every reorder
  • We are business to business only and never sell to your clients

Depth beats range

Nine shades held thinly means constant part-orders and inconsistent lots. Three shades held deeply means the client in the chair gets a match today, and the reorder matches what you already installed.

Test before you commit

Wash the trial ten times without conditioner and look for tangling at the mid-lengths. Bleach a small section and check for even lift. Rub the wet hair between your fingers to feel for silicone that will wash away in a month.

What breaks salon trust

Hair that behaves differently on the second order. That is a records problem at the supplier, not bad luck, and it is why we hold your approved reference sample and measure production against it.

Questions buyers ask

How many shades should a salon hold?

Two or three, held deeply in the lengths you sell most. Add shades only when a held shade reorders reliably.

What is the best hair extension type for a salon to sell?

The method your stylists were trained to install. Genius Weft suits row work with flexible lengths, hand-tied suits fine hair, K-tip suits partial and hairline work.

How do I test hair before stocking it?

Ten washes without conditioner, a bleach test on a small section, and a wet-finger test for silicone coating. Then install it on a paying client and see how it looks at week six.

Will the supplier sell directly to my clients?

Not here. RemyPatra supplies salons, stylists, distributors and brands only, and does not sell to end consumers.
