Check the colour range
Genuine virgin Slavic hair comes in natural colours only: light browns, dark blondes and mixed tones, varying from ponytail to ponytail. A supplier offering the same ice blonde in every length, every month, is selling lightened hair. That is fine, as long as they say so.
Check the consistency
Real donor ponytails vary. If every bundle is exactly the same shade and thickness, it was sorted and coloured in a factory. Ask which one.
Check the price
Genuine naturally light Slavic virgin hair is scarce and priced very high. Very low prices for "Russian virgin" hair are the clearest warning sign.
Strand tests
Rub a strand between finger and thumb from root to tip, then tip to root: remy hair feels smooth one way and slightly rough the other. Soak a strand in warm water and watch for colour bleeding. Hair that sheds colour or feels coated with silicone has been heavily processed.
Ask for paperwork
Ask which factory made it, how it was lightened, and for a batch number. A real manufacturer can answer, and show you the hair on a video call. A trader usually cannot.
Our honest answer
We make Slavic-look hair at our own factory in Manipur, India, and name it as a look, never as Russian origin. You get the fine texture and cool tones, with a batch record you can check.
Buyer Questions
Is relabelled hair always bad?
No. The problem is the false name and missing history, not always the hair itself.
Can I test RemyPatra hair first?
Yes. Order a sample kit and test it next to the Russian hair you use today.
