What you need in place
An EORI number for customs, a commercial invoice describing human hair extensions precisely with weights and values, a matching packing list, and a decision on incoterms so it is clear who pays duty and VAT.
VAT is recoverable for registered businesses; duty is not. Model both anyway — cash flow cares about timing even when the VAT comes back.
Why European buyers are right to be price-sensitive
Landed cost in Europe carries more layers than in the US. That is why we quote in a way that shows freight and duty rather than hiding them, and why our entry MOQ is 1kg — so a European buyer can test without carrying stock risk.
Practical planning
Order in fewer, larger consignments rather than frequent small ones — per-shipment costs dominate at low weights. Consolidate shade reorders into one dispatch where your stock cycle allows.
Keep the documentation consistent order to order; customs systems reward predictability.
