What a K-Tip specification actually covers
Bond type, keratin source, strand weight, tip shape, hair category, origin, cuticle status, colour protocol and length tolerance. A quote without these is a gamble, because two K-Tip sets at the same price can differ by a factor of two in service life.
Ask specifically: what is the strand weight tolerance, and how is bond flexibility tested before the batch leaves the factory? Brittle keratin cracks in weeks; inconsistent strand weight pulls unevenly on the client's own hair.
Why MOQ matters less than matching
A 300g per-shade minimum sounds like a barrier until you realise it is roughly one full install. The real barrier for most stylists is not capital — it is shade continuity. A direct manufacturer can hold a retained reference and match your reorder, which is what makes the relationship profitable over time.
If a supplier cannot match your existing shade card, you are not just buying hair — you are restarting every client's colour history.
Ordering from overseas without drama
Look for a supplier that quotes landed cost including freight, duty and delivery to your door, not just an ex-factory price that balloons on arrival. Express air freight from a well-run factory reaches most US salons in 3-6 days; anything much longer usually means the hair is sitting in a distributor's stock, not being made for you.
Ask for the lot record before you reorder. That single document tells you whether the next batch will match the last one.
Buyer Questions
What is the minimum order for K-Tips?
300g per shade, with a 1kg total order. That is roughly one install and lets a single stylist access factory-direct pricing.
Can you match my current brand's shades?
Yes. Send a shade tag or a 10cm cutting and we produce a swatch for your approval before the main production run.
Are the bonds Italian keratin?
Yes. We use Italian keratin in flat or round tip profiles, 0.8g or 1.0g per strand, and test bond flexibility at lot level.
