Washing
Wash two or three times a week, not every day. Use a sulphate-free shampoo and lukewarm water. Work the shampoo down the lengths, never rub or pile the hair on top of the head.
Keep conditioner and oils away from bonds, tapes and weft tracks.
Keeping blondes cool
Use a purple or silver shampoo once a week at most. Too often and pale blondes turn grey or dull. Hard water and chlorine are the usual reasons cool blondes go warm.
Heat and styling
Always use a heat protector and keep tools at 180°C or below. Fine hair dries fast, so dry on medium heat and brush from the ends upward with a loop or soft bristle brush.
Night and swimming
Sleep with hair dry, in a loose plait or silk scrunchie, ideally on a silk pillowcase. Before swimming, wet the hair with clean water and apply conditioner to the lengths; rinse straight after.
What makes it last
Life depends as much on the hair as on the care. Cuticle-aligned hair that was lightened slowly keeps its strength through several installs. Hair lightened fast with strong chemistry tangles early no matter how carefully clients look after it.
Buyer Questions
Can clients use normal shampoo?
Use sulphate-free. Harsh shampoos strip fine lightened hair and make it dry and tangly.
How often should they come back?
Most methods need a maintenance visit every 6 to 10 weeks, depending on method and hair growth.
