Texture and thickness
Slavic hair is usually fine to medium with a soft, silky feel. Indian hair ranges widely, from thick to very fine. The finest Indian donor hair, often called baby hair, has a light, soft feel very close to Slavic hair.
Natural colour
Genuine Slavic virgin hair can be naturally light brown or blonde. Indian hair is naturally dark, so light shades must be developed by lightening. Done slowly and gently, lightening keeps the cuticle strong. Done fast, it leaves hair dry and brittle.
Consistency and reorders
Natural light virgin hair varies from ponytail to ponytail. A developed Slavic-look range can be matched to a recorded shade on every reorder, which is what a salon business needs.
Price
Genuine Slavic virgin hair is scarce and priced accordingly. Slavic-look hair made at the source costs much less, while working to the premium standard. You can see our current prices on the public 2026 price list.
Buyer Questions
Can clients feel the difference?
With a well-selected fine base and slow colour, most clients cannot. The best test is a sample kit on a real client.
Which is better for fine hair?
Fine, light hair: either genuine Slavic hair or a fine baby-hair Slavic-look base. Avoid thick bases that weigh fine hair down.
