Australia · Brands & distributors
The factory behind an Australian brand.
Almost every wholesale hair extension name in Australia is an importer or a brand, not a manufacturer. Somebody else makes the hair, sets the drawn level, decides how slowly the blonde is lifted and how carefully the lot is kept together. We are that stage. If you already have Australian salon accounts, we can make your specification, put it in your packaging and stay invisible behind it.
- Our own factory in India, hand sorted, one direction cuticle.
- private label from 10kg in your packaging with your shade names.
- Distributor programme from about 50kg a month with a booked production slot.
- Express air freight, usually three to six days door to door.
- We never sell to your salon accounts ourselves.

Setting a higher standard.
Our purpose is to set a higher standard for professional hair extensions — exceptional hair, uncompromising consistency and effortless partnership for the world's finest salons. True quality is the confidence of receiving the same excellence, time after time.
We build enduring relationships through discretion, empathy, accountability and integrity, protecting the reputation behind every salon we serve. We shape our craft around our partners and their ambitions, never the other way around.
RemyPatra Hair Group
How we supply it.
What we are
A manufacturer. We sort, colour, weft and pack in our own factory in India, and one company is accountable from the sorting table to the box that lands in Australia.
What we are not
A retail brand. We have no Australian store, no salon price list and no interest in appearing in front of your customers. Your brand stays in front.
Why Australian buyers move
Usually consistency. The first order is good, the third one is a different colour. That happens when a supplier matches to a printed card instead of holding your approved hair.
The blonde question
Australia buys lifted shades heavily. Blonde is decided by how slowly the hair was lightened, not by the number on the packet. Slow staged lifting is the most expensive thing we do and the reason the hair survives.
Stock planning
Distance is why Australian stockists over-order and still run dry. A rolling forecast and a booked monthly slot solves it more cheaply than a bigger warehouse.
Starting small is fine
1kg trial, tested hard, before anything is committed. We would rather lose an order at the trial stage than have a brand carry hair it cannot stand behind.
Buyer Questions
Straight answers.
Do you supply Australian hair extension brands and distributors?
Yes. Most Australian wholesale names are distributors or brands rather than manufacturers, which means the hair they sell is made in a factory somewhere else. We are that factory stage. From 10kg we make to your specification in your own packaging, with your shade names on the tag, and we never sell to your customers ourselves.
What is the minimum order for an Australian wholesale buyer?
The first order is 1kg total, from 300g per shadeso 1kg in total. Wholesale terms apply from 3kg. private label and OEM from 10kg. Distributor programmes with a booked monthly production slot start around 50kg a month.
How long does delivery to Australia take?
Express air freight is usually three to six days door to door to Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide and the Gold Coast once the order leaves production. Production time depends on shade work; blonde takes longer than natural because lifting is done slowly and in stages.
Who handles the import paperwork into Australia?
We prepare the export documentation, commercial invoice and packing list with the contents matching the box weight for weight. Human hair is not a restricted import into Australia, but your customs broker will want the paperwork to match the shipment exactly, which is why everything is weighed and tagged before packing.
Can we keep our current brand name and packaging?
That is the normal arrangement from 10kg. Your box, your tags, your shade names, your insert card. RemyPatra stays behind the product. We are a factory, not a competing retail brand, so we have no reason to appear in front of your customers.
How do we know a second order will match the first?
The trial piece you approve stays physically in our factory as your reference lot. Every later run is matched against that hair, wet and dry, before packing. It is not matched to a printed colour card, because printed cards drift and hair does not.
We already import from China or Vietnam. Why change?
You may not need to. Send us your current specification and a piece of your current stock. We will tell you honestly whether we can improve on it, match it at a better net price, or neither. If the answer is neither, we will say so rather than take a trial order we cannot beat.
Do you sell direct to Australian salons?
We supply salons that buy at wholesale volume, and we supply the brands and distributors who sell to salons. What we do not do is run a retail store or undercut a distributor in their own market once a programme is in place.

Professional ordering
Start your first wholesale order.
Professional salons already know their preferred methods, colours, lengths and client demand. Start with the volume your salon already needs for Australian brand supply.
Independent salons
1kg
Start with the product and shade mix your current clients already need.
Growing salons
1–2kg
Build a working colour and length range around regular appointments.
Established high-demand salons
3–5kg+
Plan repeat supply against your monthly installation volume.
The smallest professional order is 1kg total. Product and shade mix are agreed before quotation. Wholesale supply is quoted to one written specification.
Why we do not sell 100g trial bundles
We have deliberately moved away from the 100–200g sample model. A single bundle is installed on one or two clients, so one experience becomes the whole judgement of the product. It shows nothing about how a shade repeats, how two batches compare, or how the hair behaves after repeated washing in a working salon.
A 1kg commercial trial covers roughly ten to twelve client applications across two shades. It gives you feedback from paying clients, a view of consistency across a meaningful quantity, and a proper read on how the product performs in your market. The hair in a 1kg trial is taken from the same sorting tables as a 20kg production run, so there is no separate sample standard to be disappointed by later.
We are the manufacturer, not a trading desk placing bundles with twenty buyers at once. We work with established salons, extension specialists, distributors and brands who already know their methods, lengths and shades, and who want one accountable source instead of a continuous supplier search.

The market
Six things that are true about buying hair in Australia.
Most Australian wholesalers are not factories
The wholesale names Australian salons buy from are importers and brand owners. That is a legitimate business, but it means there is a factory behind every one of them, and the specification is set at that factory, not in the warehouse.
Distance is the reason stock runs out
Australian buyers hold more stock than American ones because reordering feels slow. A booked monthly production slot fixes that better than a bigger warehouse does.
Humidity is a real product test
Hair that passes in a dry climate can puff and tangle on the east coast in summer. Over-lifted, silicone-finished hair fails this test first, which is why we lift slowly.
The blonde problem is the whole market
Australian demand skews heavily to lifted shades. Blonde is where cheap suppliers cut corners, because slow lifting costs factory time. It is also where a salon's reputation is lost.
Salons here buy on repeat, not on novelty
The Australian extension market is mature. A stylist who has fitted the same brand for five years changes supplier for consistency and margin, not for a new name.
You can be the brand
If you already have Australian salon relationships, the missing piece is a factory that will make your specification and stay behind it. That is the arrangement we prefer.
Due diligence
Seven questions, and how to check the answers.
Ask any supplier the same seven. The answers are easy to give and hard to fake, which is the point.
| What an Australian buyer asks | What we commit to | How you verify it |
|---|---|---|
| Where is it actually made | Our own factory in India, sorted by hand on our tables | Live video of your lot in production, with your order reference visible |
| Is it truly one direction cuticle | Sorted one way before wefting, never blended after | Run the ten wash test; reversed cuticle mats at the mid lengths by week three |
| Will the blonde hold | Slow staged lifting, measured solution, controlled drying | Wash the trial ten times with heat between; watch for brass and sponginess |
| Will the reorder match | Your approved piece held in our factory as the reference lot | Ask for wet and dry match photographs against your reference before dispatch |
| What is the real weight | Weighed per piece, printed on the tag and on the invoice | Weigh the box on arrival; it should agree with the paperwork |
| Can we brand it | Your packaging and shade names from 10kg | Approve packaging artwork before the run is scheduled |
| How fast can we restock | Booked monthly slot at distributor volume, air freight 3-6 days | Hold a rolling forecast with us instead of ordering after you run out |
How it starts
From your current spec to your own label.
Six steps. Nothing is committed until you have washed the hair yourself and fitted a row.
- 01
Send what you sell now
Your current spec sheet, or just the lengths, shades and constructions your Australian salons buy most. A photo of your current stock helps more than a description.
- 02
Get a like for like number
We quote against that exact specification in net factory terms, so you can compare it line by line with your existing supplier.
- 03
Trial 1kg
300g per shade (1kg total) in your two fastest shades, made on the production line rather than as a showpiece sample.
- 04
Test it in Australian conditions
Ten washes, heat and tension between them, then a real install. Humidity in Brisbane and Sydney finds weak hair faster than a wash basin does.
- 05
Wholesale 2 to 10kg
Repeat orders against the written specification while you build the sell-through data.
- 06
Your own label from 10kg
Same hair, your brand in front. Distributor programme with a booked monthly slot from about 50kg.
