Factory Comparison · Buyer Guide

China hair factory or Indian manufacturer? Compare the chain, not the brochure.

Most buyers searching for a hair factory are really asking one question: who is closest to the hair, and who is adding margin on top of it. This page sets out what actually differs between sourcing a finished weft in China and buying from a manufacturer that stands beside the raw Indian hair, so you can judge any supplier on evidence rather than a website.

  • Chinese plants are excellent at volume, tooling and cost. That strength is real and worth using when the product is fibre, blends or heavily processed hair.
  • Much of the human hair processed there arrives raw from India, so a finished weft often carries two margins over the same material.
  • Cuticle alignment and colour behaviour are decided early, at sorting and washing, not at the wefting machine.
  • Any factory worth buying from can show you sorting tables, lot records and a bleach test on your own shade.

Our purpose

Setting a higher standard.

Our purpose is to set a higher standard for professional hair extensions — exceptional hair, uncompromising consistency and effortless partnership for the world's finest salons. True quality is the confidence of receiving the same excellence, time after time.

We build enduring relationships through discretion, empathy, accountability and integrity, protecting the reputation behind every salon we serve. We shape our craft around our partners and their ambitions, never the other way around.

RemyPatra Hair Group

How we supply it.

Where the margin sits

Raw Indian hair, a processing plant abroad, an exporter, then a brand. Every hand takes a cut before your salon pays. Buying at the manufacturing point removes the layers that add price without adding quality.

Where quality is decided

Over-mixed lots and mass bleaching cannot be corrected later. We sort by hand, colour on our own lines and check each lot before packing. What you approved is what arrives, every time.

How to test either supplier

Order the same shade and length from both, wash it ten times, colour it, install it on a real client. Keep the approved piece. We hold the matching reference here, so every reorder is measured against the hair you accepted.

Buyer Questions

Straight answers.

Is a China hair factory or an India hair factory better for salon extensions?

It depends on what you sell. Chinese factories are strong on volume, fast tooling and low unit cost across synthetic, fibre-blend and processed human hair. Indian factories sit closer to the raw human hair itself, which matters when your clients need cuticle-aligned hair that colours predictably. If your buyers judge the hair after six months of washing, sourcing near the raw material is usually the safer route.

Why is so much hair sold as Chinese hair actually Indian?

A large share of the human hair processed in China is imported raw from India and other collection markets, then washed, coloured and wefted there. That is normal manufacturing, not deception. It does mean that when you buy a finished Chinese weft you are often buying Indian hair with two extra margins on top of it.

How do I verify a hair factory instead of trusting a listing?

Ask for three things: photographs of the sorting tables with your order reference visible, a lot record showing where that batch came from, and a bleach test on the exact shade you buy. A trading company cannot supply those. Ask to visit. We would rather be inspected than certified.

Can you match the hair I currently buy from a Chinese supplier?

Yes. Send a swatch of what you buy now with the shade code. Our colour lab matches it against our own library, and we tell you honestly where our hair will behave differently, so no client's colour history restarts because you changed supplier.

What is the minimum order if I want to compare against my current factory?

300g per shade, 1kg total minimum, so 1kg in total. Wholesale terms apply from 3kg. private label and OEM from 10kg. The trial exists so you can test our hair side by side with what you already stock.

Established high-demand salons

3–5kg+

Plan repeat supply against your monthly installation volume.

The smallest professional order is 1kg total. Product and shade mix are agreed before quotation. Wholesale supply is quoted to one written specification.

Why we do not sell 100g trial bundles

We have deliberately moved away from the 100–200g sample model. A single bundle is installed on one or two clients, so one experience becomes the whole judgement of the product. It shows nothing about how a shade repeats, how two batches compare, or how the hair behaves after repeated washing in a working salon.

A 1kg commercial trial covers roughly ten to twelve client applications across two shades. It gives you feedback from paying clients, a view of consistency across a meaningful quantity, and a proper read on how the product performs in your market. The hair in a 1kg trial is taken from the same sorting tables as a 20kg production run, so there is no separate sample standard to be disappointed by later.

We are the manufacturer, not a trading desk placing bundles with twenty buyers at once. We work with established salons, extension specialists, distributors and brands who already know their methods, lengths and shades, and who want one accountable source instead of a continuous supplier search.

Our supply desk answers within one working day. Send a specification or a competitor quote and you get a like-for-like answer, not a brochure.

How we sell, before you ask.

1kg+

First wholesale order. Product and shade mix agreed before quotation.

3–10kg

Wholesale band, quoted per specification.

10kg+

Private label with your own packaging.

50kg+

Monthly distributor programme with held reference lot.

Every quote we send is already the net factory price for that specification and quantity. There is no retail markup to discount from, so we do not run percentage discounts — the price moves only when the specification or the quantity moves.
