Remy is a construction standard, not a grade someone prints on a bag. Every strand must run root to tip in the same direction with its cuticle still on. Get that wrong and the hair tangles at the mid lengths within weeks, whatever it looked like on day one. We sort for direction at intake and check it again before packing.

Why direction decides everything
When strands sit in opposing directions the cuticles catch on each other. The result is matting that appears in week three of wear, not on the day of installation, which is why the salon blames itself before it blames the hair.
Not all Remy is equal
Two suppliers can both say Remy and deliver different products. Ask how direction is maintained during sorting, and whether the hair has been acid treated. We answer both in writing.

Direction, shedding, weft strength and shade are all checked on each lot, and the results travel with the order.

What does Remy actually mean?
That every strand in the bundle keeps its original root-to-tip orientation and its cuticle layer, so all the scales lie the same way. That single structural fact is what stops the hair tangling and lets it survive repeated washing and heat.
How is Remy hair different from non-Remy?
Non-Remy hair is collected loose, so strands sit in both directions. To stop it matting, it is usually acid stripped to remove the cuticle and coated with silicone. It feels excellent for a few washes, then the coating leaves and the hair mats.
Can I tell Remy from non-Remy myself?
Slide your fingers from tip to root. Remy hair resists slightly because the cuticle is there. Non-Remy is equally slippery in both directions. After five to seven washes, coated hair starts to tangle at the mid lengths.
Can I test the hair before I commit?
Yes. Order a trial in the two shades you sell most, wash it, colour it, install it, and keep the approved piece. We hold the same reference sample here, so every reorder is matched against the hair you already accepted.
What is the minimum order?
The first wholesale order starts from 1kg total, with the product and shade mix agreed before quotation. Wholesale terms apply from 3kg per order. Private label and OEM start at 10kg.

Why we do not sell 100g trial bundles
We have deliberately moved away from the 100–200g sample model. A single bundle is installed on one or two clients, so one experience becomes the whole judgement of the product. It shows nothing about how a shade repeats, how two batches compare, or how the hair behaves after repeated washing in a working salon.
A 1kg commercial trial covers roughly ten to twelve client applications across two shades. It gives you feedback from paying clients, a view of consistency across a meaningful quantity, and a proper read on how the product performs in your market. The hair in a 1kg trial is taken from the same sorting tables as a 20kg production run, so there is no separate sample standard to be disappointed by later.
