Raw Indian Hair · Pricing

What raw Indian hair really costs, and what decides the number.

Nobody can honestly publish one price per kilo for raw hair, because raw hair is not one product. A kilo of 12 inch natural straight and a kilo of 26 inch natural wavy come from different collections, take different amounts of sorting, and lose different amounts of weight on the way. What we can do is show you exactly what moves the number, so that when a quote arrives you can read it instead of guessing at it.

  • Length is the single biggest factor: long hair is rarer per collection, so the price per kilo climbs sharply above 22 inch.
  • Texture matters next: straight, natural wavy, curly and deep curly sort at different speeds and different yields.
  • Collection grade: lots kept whole and single-direction cost more to secure than mixed bulk.
  • Sorting and drawing hours, which is labour, and the reason cheap raw hair is almost always under-sorted.
  • Order size: trial 1kg, wholesale terms from 3kg, private label from 10kg, distributor programmes from about 50kg a month.

How we supply it.

Why per-kilo prices online mean little

A published price per kilo with no length, texture or grade attached is a number without a product behind it. Ask any vendor to quote the exact lengths and textures you sell, in the quantity you actually buy, and compare those.

Where cheap raw hair saves money

It saves on sorting hours and on collection quality. Under-sorted hair arrives with short strands mixed through the bundle, which is why a 100g bundle can look thick at the top and thin at the tip. That is a price decision made before you ever see it.

What you are paying us for

Collection from lots kept whole, colour separation before washing, sorting by length and texture, and a written record of what a lot is. Not a brand name and not a distributor's margin.

How to compare quotes fairly

Same lengths, same textures, same quantity, same terms of freight. Then run the ten-wash test on the trial from each. Price only means something once the hair beside it is the same hair.

Length moves price more than anything

Longer hair is rarer at the collection stage. Every extra few inches reduces how much usable hair there is, so the price per kg rises steeply after the mid lengths. Ask for a price per length, not one average number.

Drawn level is the second lever

Single drawn keeps shorter hairs in the bundle. Double drawn removes more of them so the ends stay full. Removing short hair means more raw hair is needed for each finished kilo, which is why double drawn costs more.

Colour work adds labour, not magic

Natural colour needs no lightening. Blondes need slow, staged lightening and more checking. A lighter shade should cost more because it takes more time and has a higher reject rate, not because of a label.

How to compare two quotes fairly

Put both quotes against the same written spec: origin, length, weight per bundle, drawn level, cuticle direction, shade and freight terms. A cheap quote that leaves one of these blank is usually not the same hair.

Buyer Questions

Straight answers.

What is the price of raw Indian hair per kg?

It depends on length, texture, collection grade and quantity, so we quote rather than publish. Send the lengths and textures you sell most with the kilos you buy, and you will get a factory-level number for that exact specification.

Why is long raw hair so much more expensive?

Because it is genuinely rarer per collection. Most collected hair falls in the shorter and mid lengths; 26 to 32 inch is a small fraction of any lot, so the price per kilo rises with length rather than in a straight line.

Do prices come down with volume?

Yes, and the bands are simple: trial 1kg, wholesale terms from 3kg, private label from 10kg, and reserved production for distributor programmes from about 50kg a month.

Is factory-direct really cheaper than buying from a vendor?

You are removing at least one margin, and often several. What matters more over a year is that a factory can hold your specification and repeat it, so you are not re-testing hair every quarter.

What is the minimum order?

The first wholesale order starts from 1kg total, with the product and shade mix agreed before quotation. Wholesale terms apply from 3kg per order. Private label and OEM start at 10kg.

How do you ship and how long does it take?

Express air freight, usually 3 to 6 days door to door, with the export paperwork prepared by us. We ship to the USA, Canada, the UK, the EU, Australia and the Gulf.

Why do you not publish a price list for raw Indian hair?

Because the price depends on length, drawn level, shade and quantity, and a single public number would be wrong for most buyers. We quote against your written specification so the price matches exactly what arrives.

Why is some raw Indian hair online so cheap?

Usually it is mixed-direction hair, single drawn with many short hairs, or coated to feel soft in the packet. Ask for a wash test and a bleach test on the exact lot before comparing prices.

Does freight change the price per kg?

Yes. Express air freight is quoted by destination and weight. Larger orders spread the freight cost across more kilos, so the landed cost per kg usually drops as order size grows.

Why we do not sell 100g trial bundles

We have deliberately moved away from the 100–200g sample model. A single bundle is installed on one or two clients, so one experience becomes the whole judgement of the product. It shows nothing about how a shade repeats, how two batches compare, or how the hair behaves after repeated washing in a working salon.

A 1kg commercial trial covers roughly ten to twelve client applications across two shades. It gives you feedback from paying clients, a view of consistency across a meaningful quantity, and a proper read on how the product performs in your market. The hair in a 1kg trial is taken from the same sorting tables as a 20kg production run, so there is no separate sample standard to be disappointed by later.

We are the manufacturer, not a trading desk placing bundles with twenty buyers at once. We work with established salons, extension specialists, distributors and brands who already know their methods, lengths and shades, and who want one accountable source instead of a continuous supplier search.
