Before you trust a raw hair vendor, run these checks yourself.
This page is not a sales page. It is what we would tell a buyer testing us alongside four other suppliers, because the checks are the same whoever you buy from and we would rather be judged on them than on adjectives. Every test here can be run on your own bench with a bowl of warm water, a sink and a flat iron.
- The cuticle drag: slide fingers tip to root. Resistance one way and smooth the other means aligned cuticle. Smooth both ways usually means coating or stripped cuticle.
- The wet stretch: wet a strand and pull slowly. Healthy hair gives and returns. Over-processed hair keeps stretching, then snaps.
- The warm-water soak: ten minutes in warm water. Cloudiness or colour in the water means dye, on hair sold as natural.
- The ten-wash test: wash, air dry and iron ten times. Week three is when weak hair reveals itself, not day one.
- The reorder test: order the same specification twice, three months apart, and compare them side by side.

How we supply it.
Questions a factory can answer
Where was this lot collected? Was it kept whole? Was it separated by natural colour before washing? What is the shortest strand in this bundle? Who checks a lot before it is packed? A trading company can answer none of these without asking someone else first.
Warning signs in a bundle
Perfect uniformity in something sold as unprocessed. A slippery, glossy feel that disappears after two washes. Bundles that are thick at the weft and thin at the tips. A shade that is identical across every bundle in a supposedly raw lot.
What honesty looks like
A supplier who tells you a lot is multi-donor when it is, who calls coloured hair coloured, and who says no to a length they cannot supply this month. Words like raw, virgin and single donor should describe the lot, not the marketing.
Then compare price
Once the hair beside it is the same specification, price becomes a real comparison. Before that, a cheaper kilo is usually a different product.
Buyer Questions
Straight answers.
How can I tell if hair has been silicone coated?
Wash it twice with a clarifying shampoo and feel it again. Coated hair feels wonderful in the shop and dull and rough after the coating washes out. Raw hair feels slightly dry from the start and stays the same.
Does raw hair tangle?
Properly aligned raw hair should not mat. Some movement and slight roughness is normal, especially after washing without conditioner. Matting at the mid-length after a few washes usually means the cuticle was damaged or the direction is mixed.
Is single donor hair always better?
Not always, but it is more predictable. A well sorted few-donor lot with consistent direction can behave better than a poorly handled single-donor one. What matters is that the supplier tells you honestly which one you are buying.
How many washes should I test before ordering volume?
Ten, with heat styling in between. Almost every quality problem shows itself by then, and almost none of them show on day one.
Can I test the hair before I commit?
Yes. Order a trial in the two shades you sell most, wash it, colour it, install it, and keep the approved piece. We hold the same reference sample here, so every reorder is matched against the hair you already accepted.
What is the minimum order?
The first wholesale order starts from 1kg total, with the product and shade mix agreed before quotation. Wholesale terms apply from 3kg per order. Private label and OEM start at 10kg.

Are these the real prices?
Yes. They match our public price list. Under 1kg adds 15%, 1kg to 3kg adds 7%, and 3kg and above is the wholesale list price.
Can I mix shades and lengths?
Yes. From 300g per shade, in 100g steps. Order size counts the total of everything you buy.

Why we do not sell 100g trial bundles
We have deliberately moved away from the 100–200g sample model. A single bundle is installed on one or two clients, so one experience becomes the whole judgement of the product. It shows nothing about how a shade repeats, how two batches compare, or how the hair behaves after repeated washing in a working salon.
A 1kg commercial trial covers roughly ten to twelve client applications across two shades. It gives you feedback from paying clients, a view of consistency across a meaningful quantity, and a proper read on how the product performs in your market. The hair in a 1kg trial is taken from the same sorting tables as a 20kg production run, so there is no separate sample standard to be disappointed by later.
We are the manufacturer, not a trading desk placing bundles with twenty buyers at once. We work with established salons, extension specialists, distributors and brands who already know their methods, lengths and shades, and who want one accountable source instead of a continuous supplier search.
